I use them and I flow very heavy. You have to change more frequently if you use them, but they will work. I don't like to have a dirty pad on anyway, so changing for often works well. I'm cleaner and more comfortable.

No, not at all. When I'm on heavy flow, I use super plus tampons and the thickest pads that have wings. They are ready to be changed within 3 hours. Do not wear ultra thin pads unless you want a stain in the back of your pants and embarrassment. Even if you have a tampon in, I advise you not to.

Safe for whom? I wouldn't do that for more than a couple of hours because more than likely the pad will become saturated and start to leak and make a mess. As far as health concerns, i dont know of any, i would imagine you would change your pad before any possible health risks could occur.

It's okay but it won't work that well. You can't control the heaviness of your period you will need a thicker pad for the first couple days. Don't worry, no one will see it or know you are wearing them.

I wouldn't if I was you. I generally don't use pads at all unless they are back up protection for tampons.
