Don't worry.Sometimes, it just take some men to face up to marriage seriously.

I have been dating the same girl for 8 years and love her with all my heart and she thinks the same way. I do not make a lot of money and see no point in getting married and not being able to support her so I am waiting until I can.

sounds like you're making decisions you will be sorry for, like having gotten in so deep that there's no need for marriage, buying things together, joing bank account, furniture bought together and owning a pet together. You've just sealed the deal that no marriage is required. Sounds like his word for marriage is "engaged/fiancee".
You need some quiet time for serious conversation with your significant other, tell him how you feel, come to a solution, or kick him to the curb.

Unfortunately, you are like a lot of girls on here who find themselves in similar circumstances. What I don't understand is why you don't know why the guys don't want to get married! You have given him everything he wants and needs - he has no REASON to get married to you, as wonderful as you may be. You have put yourself in this situation, and have to deal with things as they are.

Never push a guy into the idea of marriage, it will just make him run a mile.

My guess is the two months salary may be a long time for him to save up.

I good way to start is to talk with him about it. If your as close a couple as you say then you should be able to discuss it with him.
