I'll have to agree with Drama and go with Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind. It is essentially a Sci fi movie, has a really intelligent idea but surprisingly, has even more heart.
It hits several marks when addressing relationship issues. Like inevitable destiny. Like the deterioration of affections. Taking the good times with the bad. And honouring the memories of someone we once loved.
Not only is this the most romantic movie ever, it is the smartest and best movie I've watched in the last 10 years.

City of Angels--how many people would be willing to give up everything for just one day of love....
As for the Lakehouse it was okay as for the romance in it I think it lacked
Have a Great day!

"buildings burn
people die
but true love last forever"
yes,it's easy to get lost with the darkness of the movie, the violence, the white make up and being almost invincible...
But people forget that the only reason for his revenge and bein brought back to life was because of the terrible sadness that his soul carried with him to the land of the dead, losing someone you love is dying IN SLOW MOTION AND YOU KEEP ON DYING AND DYING.
I'm in no way advocating violence nor revenge but if the life of the only woman you love was VIOLENTLY taken from you, tell me you wouldn't wish to be given a second chance to set things right???
The Crow
coz sometimes when love is ripped away from us-darkness,anger and sorrow are the only things we have left.
And most times- are the only true friends who stick around......

I would say one of my favorite romantic movies was Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Not only was it incredibly romantic, it was DIFFERENT... which gave it so much more appeal. It didn't follow the same old boring formula that many movies feel the need to follow.
If you haven't seen it, go rent it! It was completely worth it!
