Your best bet is to transfer all your music to your music folder, all my media player I have on my computer I've set the options for anything I download to go to my music folder in mp3 format, if you have real player or musicmatch (all my players are plus except yahoo jukebox & winamp) you can use those to convert the file format, I have trouble using windows file converter but realplayer and musicmatch is alot easier, if the files aren't located in your music folder then you may have to go into your program files to locate them or do a search and then move or copy them to your music folder where you can handle them
