Some foods such as asparagus can make your urine smell. Dehydration can also give your urine a strong odor (and make it very dark).
There's a rare chance of some metabolic conditions:

If you're concerned and it persists even with increased water intake, see a doctor.

Strong odour is either you did not drink enough, try drinking 10 glasses of water or tea for the next couple of hours and see if the odor is gone. It can also be from eating something that causes smelly urine like cabbage sometimes does that. If the problem persists, better see a urologist.

Need more water intake. If you drink a lot of caffine (especially coffee) it will be a strong odor. But take in the suggested amount of water, you will notice a difference immediately and watch your salt intake as well.

You need to be more specific when you say strong odor. Does it smell foul or does it smell as if you haven't been drinking enough liquids. If you don't drink enough liquids your urine will be more concentrated and have a stronger smell to it. If the smell is more foul then it could very well be a UTI.

Sometimes the odor of what you eat and drink makes it smell like it. It's normal.
If you're really worried about it, see you doctor. He/she will do a urinalysis and blood work to check you out.

it could be reflective of what you have eaten.
if the urine is deep yellow in color, it will have more of an odor. it also means that you are not hydrated enough.
drink more water and eat less brussels sprouts.
