For family Christmas parties we usually have roast pork. They are very easy to prepare, taste incredible and usually go on sale around this time of year too. If you are having a large dinner, you might want to try a pot luck. That can help curb the prep for you and give an interesting variety.

If you are of a Christian persuasion, why not go back to the basis for Christmas? Christian's supposedly celebrate the birth of Jesus on Christmas and Jesus was a Jew so why not go with a Jewish meal for Christmas!
I think I would start the morning off with bagels and lox or some latkes. Then I would suggest a nice beef brisket or leg of lamb and an Israeli salad for dinner.

A bottle of mead would be nice and it can be served warm or cold. Either way it is very tasty.

My complete family contributors is Dutch, my mom became even born there, so we've some tremendous classic Christmas food. maximum of that's baked products although that :) we Dutch love our candies. classic Dutch Christmas ingredients comprise boiled chestnuts eaten with butter and salt, marzipan, and Kerstkrans, that are Dutch Christmas cookies. Tea and speculaas (not difficulty-free cookies). Letterbanket, (banket isn't difficulty-free to make) letter formed brownies, are also disbursed on Christmas Eve. For a important route at Christmas dinner, roast goose ought to nicely be served, or turkey, or perhaps venison or rabbit. On New Years Eve, a donut-like pastry stated as an Oliebollen (like a doughnut absolutely extra powerful) is served. I have not yet inherited the family contributors recipes for plenty of those yet there are a selection of Dutch recipe internet sites accessible. sturdy success.

All fruits are fresh vegetables. A "vegetable" is a plant, any part of which can be used for food.

In the superstore, fruits are usually picked out far too soon. Some are rocks, many are wrong. Some of the fresh vegetables are right (zucchini, onions, garlic, lettuce, greens, and a few others) so I'd have to go with vegetables.
