its china and cinnamon color and I want to keep it from scratching as I stack them..Thanks...

i just put a paper towel between mine.it works fine.

Try cutting some of the product in the link below to a size just a little smaller than your plates. Place one piece of liner between each plate.
This stuff sells at Wal Mart real cheap. Its also strong enough to wash over and over. I use it on my desk, as coaster material, in the shop, on the counter top under large containers or small appliances and as a shelf liner.

i personally would take it back to the store where you bought it. dinnerware should not have a rough bottom, if it does it will also scratch you countertops and table surface.

secondly, if the bottom of the dinnerware is pretty smooth and the dinnerware scratched, the glaze is considered "soft." properly made dinnerware does not easily scratch.

a glaze that is not "smooth" enough will be marked by the simple cutting of food with a knife. this is also a flaw.

take it back and get a well made set of dinnerware.

Use cloth napkins like what you see at restaurants. Also an auto part store might have cloth "rags" that are used to dry vehicals. Just lay one of those things between the plates.

cut the foam grippy stuff used for shelf liners into circles and put them between the dishes
