A pair is duck ( a score of zero) in both innings. Flintoff didn't score in the first innings. If was out on zero in the 2nd, he would have got a "pair".

A golden pair is when you are out first ball in both innings.

a first-ball duck is a golden duck. as above, but 2 golden ducks is called a king pair not a golden pair.
