The construction trades, heavy equipment operator, welder, electrician, plumber, aircraft mechanic - they all require a period of formal training and apprenticeship, but pay very well once one is established in the trade. Many jobs that demand a college degree don't pay nearly as well. Computers are all the rage, but those jobs are a dime a dozen, and a great many of them are being shipped overseas.
There are also a variety of service industry jobs, especially in the health care arena - nursing pays reasonably, but having done that for over forty years, I would not encourage it. There are some serious downsides to nursing that had I known, I'd never have entered the profession. Male nurses like me do NOT enjoy any advantage whatsoever... Stick with the other trades I mentioned in the beginning.

salary is a yearly pay, 500 a year is not all that good, unless your in south america or africa. but seriously, you want money and a job that will never end, go to the medical field.

Registered Nursing--2 years of Jr. College or 4 years of College for a B.S. in Nursing. Hospitals are very much in need of nurses.
Accounting--4 yrs of college plus extra classes if you want to get a C.P.A. Must have great math skills. Companies go to the college campus to recruit employees.

I have been a teacher, and a good one, for 25 years. You will never be laid-off as a teacher, make decent wages, and you have great vacations. But you need a solid college education and degree and want to do it, it is not for averyone.
