Why would anyone listen to the radio? Doesn't everybody know by now that what you listen to, what's designated as a hit is all determined by some clear channel f%&k? And that bands are put together the same way coporations are these days? Does anyone else get a "sinking into a black hole" feeling when they realize this? It sometimes makes me want to throw up.

I agree 100 per cent - so many wonderful talented artists are out there quietly going about their art, not buying into the hoopla of what success is supposed to be - and stupid people don't seem to realise there's a whole universe of real music that ISN'T on the radio.
Commercial radio is a delivery system for advertisers. It's all about MONEY, not art. Pop music is marketing, pure and simple. It's been going on for decades, too - the Osmonds were created as a whote response to the Jackson 5 - down to little Jimmy vs Michael.

But I would say that there are independent radio stations who look further than the music delivered to them by the record companies. these are generally the stations which do not bombard you with three minutes of advertising after every two songs.

Leave me alone. I like my radio. You sound like a whiny-assed reject that couldn't get a job as an announcer so you're pushing sour grapes on a very important industry. Not all radio stations are programmed by some miserable geek in a black hole of an office. And, who says I listen tot he new garbage that's coming out these days, anyway?
