I can't imagine going to a church and putting money in a collection plate, knowing that it's going to fund some "pastor's" extravagant lifestyle, and not going primarily to people who actually need it. Doesn't the bible say that we shouldn't live our lives in extravagance? Even if he did get his money from other sources, wouldn't he be obligated by the bible to just get what he needs and donate the rest to the less fortunate?

My thought as I read this question is that we need to learn not to make assumptions about other people withnout knowing all the facts, and even then it is not our place to judge.
The Pastor/Preacher is human if he/she has found a way to to enjoy life, why not? As long as their heart is in the right place nothing else matters.
In truth I automatically would wonder where they got the money from.......this is a part of me I am working on changing.

I think about all the preachers who struggled and lost money with their ministries for a decade or two before anyone else caught on. And then I'm happy for them, success isn't usually permanent and I'm glad they have it for a while.

Does a man who works for big company go about in rags ? He dishonours the company if he does . God is a rich God , a pastor who represents HIM should dress and live for HIS honour .
I think people are so used to seeing a preacher in a humble state , they can't accept it when a preacher is dressed well . Learn to honour God's servant to honour GOD .

That he is a preacher as a racket, not because of a higher calling from God.
