Why is it that in some Asian households, up to 3 generations live in the same house? I have many Asian friends, I'm just curious..

because in the Asian household, there is a very strong bond in the family. In a traditional Asian upbringing, you are taught that the family always come first, and you do everything in your power to sacrifice for the family.

I'm not asian but a lot of it has to do with the respect and reverence that asian people give their elders...It's a cultural thing.
