Gargling with warm salty water frequently, also have a few spoons of honey as it is a natural soother. You can mix it with lemon juice and hot water.

Eat some Extreme Fire Balls, The hot cinnamon little jaw breakers. Trust me, your mouth will burn so bad you'll forget all about your sore throat. But seriously, I think Ben and Jerry's Chunky Monkey Ice cream works best. It's cool, smooth, and sooooo Yum! Yum!
If you can't eat Ice cream try my grandma's sore throat spray recipe.
Throat Spray
½ cup chamomile herb tea.
(or 1 drop of chamomile essential oils in ½ cup of water)
1 TBLS apple cider vinegar
2 drops geranium essential oil
1 drops each of sage, lemon, and tea tree essential oil.
If brewing actual tea, be sure to strain so that there are absolutely no leaves to clog the nozzle of the sprayer. Brew tea, add vinegar. Add essential oils and honey. Stir
well. Cool. Pour into a spray bottle (glass...dark). Shake well before each use. Spray directly into the back of the throat 1 or 2 times.
DO NOT OVERUSE. This is medicine not throat gargle! Use 3 or 4 times a day......
DO NOT EAT OR DRINK FOR 15-20 MINUTES AFTER USING.

Jamieson Vitamins makes a great zinc and vitamin C lozenge...you can take up to 8 a day...they are AMAZING if you take it right at the first sign of a sore throat....nips it in the bud...if you have those try them, they will help. Do drink honey and tea and definitely chicken soup. I make my own with chicken stock powder and tiny pasta (pastina) and add a scrambled egg at the end...nutritious and helps the throat.
There is also CEPACOL which numbs your throat. It comes in lozenges as well as a spray. It will numb your throat when it's really painful to swallow.
I agree the best thing to do is do not talk at all this weekend if you can help it. Try Vicks Vaporub on your chest and throat too and rest all weekend and you should be better.

Sore throat remedy...orange juice and honey. Hot tea works well, as does gargling with warm salt water. Eating chicken soup is good for the condition causing the sore throat, too. Also, try not to speak too much over the weekend, and massage your neck just below and in front of your ears. Keep warm compresses there, as well...

Hot toddy..1 cup hot water with the juice of 1/2 of a lemon, & 2 tablespoons(more if needed) of honey. Drink wrap up warmly & go to sleep.
Use a Vaporiser if you have it. Also there are many naturaly cold releivers(Zicam, etc) on the market that help speed to duration of these things. I find a spray like Chloraseptic helps too. Get as much rest as you can, your body heals while it is resting.

depends WHY you're sore....could be allergies...are you swallowing alot of snot? that could also give you a sore throat. gargle with some salt water to help alleviate the pain. check your throat, is it red? are there white pockets on the back? if so, you have strep and you need antibiotics to speed up the process and MUST see your dr and stay away from work as it is contageous. You don't NEED antibiotics, your body will get rid of it on its own, but will take longer. also, your infection could move...it could spread around your mouth to your gums and tongue (my boyfriend had that happen..pretty gross! PLEASE SWALLOW!) or down to your lungs, as it did with me.
if it is just the start of a sore throat....take some vit C (but not too much as it will cause diahrrea), try some air borne or zicam, they are homeopathic....and most importanly....SLEEP! rest your body and allow your immune system to work! sleep ASAP and try and sleep as much as you can on sunday. GOOD LUCK! see your dr if it gets worse!

Honey & lemon. Pour a little bit of honey into a cup and then squeeze a lemon or two in and stir it up. Not too thick! Then drink it slowly. Works every time.
Ciao!
