Ok...It was hard to word the question, but anyway, I have a family friend who is from the islands. Her deal is that she assumes that ALL WHITE PEOPLE ARE racist and will automatically challenge, ridicule, or belittle her for whatever reason. I initially didnt want to call her a racist (more along the lines of *racially tense*), but her comments have become a constant prejudgement. I was just wondering if anyone else has ever dealt with a person like this and if so, what would you say to someone like that.

Is it because she feels lower than whites or what??

She might feel lower than whites or has been brain washed by other haters.
I usually give up on people like that because it is hard to make a person care once they have hate in their minds.

Sounds like racism to me- she's making an assumption about an entire race of people. This might sound horrible, but I think racism towards white people is more prevalent than you think. I'm not trying to be all white-power or anything, that's totally not me. At work, I happened to close before a girl (who happened to be black) got served, so she accused me of being racist. Do you think I would have been called racist if I were Asian or Hispanic or East Indian? I doubt it.

She's racist for assuming all whites are racist. Sounds strange, but it's true.

well she certainly sounds defensive....not all white people are racist..not all black, yellow, red,or green people are racist either....but she sounds very racist to me...in other words only her race is good.--sounds to me like that's what she's saying.

She is the racist and her insecurity is breeding the hatred-- and you have to tell her just that---

WELL, PEOPLE GET THEIR OPINIONS AND ASSUMPTIONS FROM EXPERIENCE OR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE. SHOW HER THAT THERE IS NO REASON TO JUDGE AN ENTIRE GROUP OF PEOPLE THE SAME WAY. WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT.
