We're supposed to have a white Christmas, but lately we've been getting snow, then rain and it washes the snow away. I would LOVE seeing winter snow this Christmas!

I was born and pretty much raised in Wisconsin. So every Christmas was a white Christmas. When I was about 10 we moved to Washington State. Its rare we get any snow. As a kid, of course I loved the snow. But everyone out here hates it, or so it seems. So when it snows here, everyone gets very uptight and grouchy. But I dont mind it. I like seeing the snow. It reminds me of my true home.

For as quickly as i'm going to disclose myself and my real inner ideas (i don't do this usually, a good distance too guarded and self-keeping....) I listened to 'The Little Drummer Boy,' sang with the aid of John Denver. with the aid of the time it substitute into finished, I had tears streaming down my face. unlike me in any respect, a committed Atheist and profound cynic, that would desire to not have affected me in any respect, yet - there it substitute into.... that magic 2d while each and all the hatred and enmity in basic terms have been given washed away. forget the way the Christians taken care of The Jews. forget the Inquisition. forget the Blood Libel and all those mindless deaths. forget the Holocaust and 'they killed 6 million human beings cos we've been all Jewish bankers..!' forget all that and see the the affection and the thought in that small musical present. the easy offering of enjoying a drum because of the fact there have been no presents to furnish. The profound experience of thought and understanding, so hurtfully missed in on an prevalent basis life, that fluctuate into shifting and shattering. perhaps i'd desire to think again 'be a cynic and be risk-free..?'

Seeing it is okay to a point, then it gets old. Being in it sucks. Maybe its because I was raised in the LA area and the worst we ever got in the winter was rain. I much prefer the fall and the spring.
