I was driving through an apartment complex and found more than 200 wireless networks more than half of which were unsecure. I was just wondering if a person could get in trouble for using that persons internet or searching through computers on the network?

I;m not sure of the legality of it, but it's good manners not to search through other computers on the same network. Now as far as just using it for internet access.... If someone is stupid enough to leave their keys in a car and leave it unlocked and then walk away, then that person's car deserves to be stolen. If you're not smart enough to make your wireless network secure, then you're just asking to get your internet used. At least someone's paying for it.

It would probably get that person into a bunch of trouble. This is stealing!

Are they paying for this service ? Then it'd be called "theft of services". And yes, you can get into trouble for it if you're caught.
