1.Melbourne! I'm living in Australia at the moment and it's wonderful here even though I'm an American. Health Care rules here and Aussies love the environment, it's clean! I can breathe... oh and Melbourne has the best style.
2. Montreal
3. London
4. LA
5. Amsterdam

1. Los Angeles
I am a Filipino American & definitely will have no problem with this city since I am an American citizen. I will have problems with the other cities if I live there.
I had been in California x almost 6 months earlier this year & late last year. I have seen the finest cities and had the opportunity of living there.
I love San Franciscso! I stayed there for Thanksgiving & Christmas.
I love the climate of San Diego! I hate the crab mentality of Filipinos there. They criticize each other & gossip alot! There are alot of Mexicans since it is in the border.
I love the quiet Anaheim, its not that noisy even you are just across Disneyland. I also love Orange County. People there seems to be more educated, more reserved!
After being in these cities, I find LA too crowded, too traffic & too hot. Thought comparing it with the Philippines it is still cooler in LA. However, I had been in cooler places before going there. Manila is 78-90 F, while LA is 52-71 F today.
However, if given the opportunity I would be choosing the following as my next:
2. Montreal ( Canada)
I have many relatives here in Canada but they are mostly from Winnipeg. I have a cousin in Edmonton. I still have to study French well! Though I am starting already.
3. Amsterdam ( Netherland)
I have a cousin who just celebrated her 25th year her in the monastery. 10 of my relatives came there & love the place & food.
4. Melbourne ( Australia)
I hear discrimination here. Though most Americans I know who had travelled in Australia loves the place. It is less polluted there & food are more fresh.
5. London ( UK)
I also hear discrimination here. Cost of living is more expensive than staying in the USA.
These are all wonderful cities. I had been studying Geography through the use of Microsoft Encarta for Kids, Microsoft Premium DVD 2006 & Yahoo travel. However, their beauty is just superficial. The Philippines is a 3rd world country but I love it here, this is my home. There is no place like home. My family is here.
I spent my Christmas in San Francisco last year & I really cried. That was my first Christmas away from home. The warmth of Christmas here is different!

Wow, those are so far and wide, and there's so many differences in terms of weather, culture - it really depends on what you're looking for.
However, in terms of sheer manageability of the cities, I'd have to say the order would be London, Melbourne, Montreal, Amsterdam, and last LA.
London's the most cultural, has the best transportation all of those, and is most centrally located. Melbourne is a bit more remote and smaller, but certainly an interesting city. Montreal is fantastic and beautiful, but the French influence can be irritating (you almost have to be bilingual) and the weather is awful. Amsterdam is fascinating from a tourist perspective but is so liberal it's a bit difficult to actually live in. Los Angeles has great weather but is a difficult city to be in unless you're dedicated to traffic, driving, smog, and a certain superficiality.
But again, that's all so general. It really depends on what you're looking for from the city.

It totally depends on what you're looking for - but this would be my order...
1. Montreal
2. Amsterdam
3. London
4. LA
5. Melbourne (the only reason this one is last is because it's way too far from the people I love, but I hear it's great)

I love living in New york city. I like the fact that we can get around easily in this big city. You can take a bus, train, cab or even walk it's really up you. How far do you have to go, and how quick do you have to be there. Manhattan is # 1 in my book!

I would say Australia would be awesome but you gotta watch the snakes.
But if I had to move to one of your picks from above I would move to Australia!
The last pick would be Los Angeles, too much crime.
