is there a difference when we say authenticated and certified true copy ?

the company is requiring me to submit a 'certified true copy' of my diploma. But how about the term 'authenticated' diploma?

You should contact your school and ask them. They should be able to give you a copy that has a notarization or other certificate, perhaps stamped on to the copy, or they can forward to your employer an official copy of your transcript(s).
