I'm no celebrity, but I've served time as one of the 12 Jury Duties in the past. I was curious if celebrities did the same??

Yes they can serve on a jury and some have. Although, depending how big the celebrity is, it might cause too much disruption in the courtroom so, the judge can pardon them.... ;)

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be able to serve, otherwise the courtroom would turn into a spectacle and attention would be taken away from the case itself. Also, that celebrity would be bombarded by the media with questions and comments regarding the case every time they saw him/her. I guess it's possible that they get summons for jury duty, but they'd probably be exempt from actually serving on the jury.

Obviously, I don't really know what the hell I'm talking about, but I'll let you know what the real deal is as soon as I get my 15 minutes...
