Most likely. how big is the tank? do you have spots for the fish to hide to get a break from each other? these are things to take into consideration. DO NOT listen to the people that say all bettas will kill every fish in their path. it's not true, bettas usually only attack other bettas or fish that look like bettas. Is your betta aggressive? try putting your finger to his tank, if he swims away the mollies will most likely antagonize him to the point of needing separation, if he doesn't swim away from you and doesn't puff up he's probably a good choice and would do well with your fish. I'd do some research online first about bettas and on keeping them together. you might have better luck putting in 3ish female bettas.
bettatalk.com is a great site for bettas, as for keeping them with mollies I don't know of any good sites off the top of my head.

Bettas CAN attack but it's not a guaranteed type of thing. Nettas are very territorial fish but as long as the tank is big and it will have it's own space, the other fish should be fine. Mollies can be aggressive too though so I would consult a pet store to see. Be sure to tell them the size of the tank and how many of each fish will be in it. Watch the fish if you do though. If you see a skin flap coming out of the bottom of the Betta's head and the gills spreading, that means it's about to attack. Seperate them with a divider wall or something to save the other fish until it calms back down.

Yes! One Betta will do very well with a few mollies. I have a tank with Mollies and a Male Betta and never had any problems. Betas are only violent with their own kind, particularity other males (and sometimes females); because of this they often get a bad rap for community tank fish. Betta fish are actually very shy in a community tank and do really well just as long as they are not placed with aggressive or nippy fish. I'm sure you won't have a problem.

Okay, disreguard any answers you get on this question that say Bettas will kill anything it is put with. This is really not true. I'm not sure about mollies, but Bettas really only attack other bettas and other fish that look similar to other male betta's ( long fins). There will not be any fighting killing, etc if you mix a male betta with other fish, as long as you do some research on the other fish's aggression. I'm not sure about mollies, since they are a moderately aggressive fish, but you can always try. Good luck, try www.yahoo.ca and type in fish compatibility chart. This should let you know, Good luck.

Molly fish don't usually get along well with other fish, even with other Mollies. When I used to have mine, the problem seemed to be in the male fish especially. I would be careful with which fish I mixed the Mollies with.

Bettas can get along with many other types of fish, but they are a bad combination with most fast-swimming, fin-nipping fish - like Tiger Barbs. Here's a couple of links for more info:

yes you can!! Bettas wont attack them , They will only attack other Bettas. They will thrive better in a tropical community tank anyways. They will enjoy the warm water. And if anything watch out for the mollys nipping at the bettas tail.

First of all, mollies aren't the kind of very sociable fish. They don't mix well with other kinds of fish. Then you have the betta, the FIGHTING fish, literally. Bettas are aggressive fighters which attack almost every fish they see till the death. Put both kinds of fish together and you've got yourself an aquatic coliseum.
