Nova...Perhaps you have not yet found your niche or what drives you. Also you obviously are dealing with some issues between the ears: Negative self talk. It is just like a honing device...delivering you directly at the front door of what you have programmed up there!

Begin a list of affirmations.

I am a team player, I am learning what it means to lead.
I have drive, determination and the stick to it factor.
People rely on me and I am worthy of their trust.
Bad things do not happen to me they happen FOR me
I am responsible, energetic and creative.
I like who I am. I have something to offer the world.
Disappointment is just a passing cloud and the winds of success are blowing. I do not quit. I attract people who are leaders, who can fan the flame with in me.
I am uplifting and refreshing to others...
It is OK to say NO.
My yes is yes, my no is no. Guilt has no place in my heart or my mind.

and so on!

Also get yourself a book. Write the DUMB THINGS I SAY TO MYSELF on the cover.
Carry it with you. Write every negative thing you say and immediately replace it with its opposite.

Like: I am stupid. becomes I am brilliant!
I am a failure becomes I am remarkably successful!

Best to you! And have a truly fruitful life!

You're not a leader, go back to work and be a team player. If you were a leader you would not be asking how to lead, but rather who to lead, in which case that is totally up to you. Leaders want to accomplish something, get things done and will work at it relentlessly. If you give up, you are not a leader.

Maybe you are a motivator? Just as important, but not as obvious.

you are not a born leader, at least not yet. part of being a good leader is the ability to not give up easily. when you have learned to persevere in spite of obstacles, then you will be a leader. btw, good leaders are not "born" they are slowly molded and refined thru adversity.
