I built an insulated dog kennel in my garage and because of my HOA I cannot put wall ac unit to the outside. Will I be ok installing the wall Ac unit in the kennel/garage shared wall. AC will be in kennel and rear of AC unit will be in garage, will this work ok.

Thanks

Depending on how hot your garage gets it will work, but the ac unit will put out heat of its own and if the garage is to hot the unit will shut down on over load, some units reset themselves after they cool off. If there is a vent in one of the walls to the out side near the unit would help a lot. One other thing you should know is the electric consumption will be higher if the ac unit is in a hot area. keep them puppies cool!!!!!!
Screw the HOA.

Just fine dude the only thing the rear of the AC unit doesn't really do anything . Just as long as its not confined in to small of an area like one square foot or something otherwise its fine that is where the condensation is expelled but I don't think a puddle of water on your garage floor will matter ?
