Very easy, IMHO. I guess 95 % of people under the age of 40 have studied english in school. And older understand english quite well, because all the british and US TV shows are not dubbed, but they have subtitles. This means that just about anyone knows at least a few words.

And in tourism industry (hotels, restaurants, trains stations etc.) everyone speaks or least understands english.

very easily, since most of the people in Finland know English. it wouldn't hurt to learn some of their language though

Matt is right. I went to Norway and knew that most people spoke at least some english. soI learned the lang (well i was living with a Norwegian and had two years to study), but if i was you i would at least learn some basic things.
