I have to make a magazine cover and i dont know what software to use.

Sure here are 8 that are either very reasonable or free. The only trouble is that if you ever want to send theses to an agent you'd better be able to do exactly as they ask & perfectly so. That is why most choose Photoshop. In addition there is a ton of help online in the form of tutorials & forums. It is the reigning king & will be for a long time. Link below:

Yes, I got a good program I like for free at www.picasa.com.....I have picasa 2....try it......hope you like it......good luck... ;)

yes.. there are heaps of programs you could try. however, the one i recommend is the GIMP program.
