I think that since you just want to get rid of the oil, you should get bloting papers. It's a little piece of paper that you wipe across your forehead and it absorbs the oil...like magic!Hope this helps.

There are so many different ways to handle shine depending on what is causing it. If it is caused by oily skin you can use either a shine control liquid foundation, which also adds color to even out skin-tone as well. Maybelline makes one called Shine free liquid makeup which also has a pressed powder foundation by the same name. If you don't want something that adds color translucent powder is the way to go. You have a choice of pressed or loose powder. New York City color makes a Smooth Skin Pressed and loose Face Powder that is extremely affordable. To freshen up during the day especially in hot damp weather you can use oil blotting powder sheets. It takes the shine away and keeps you cool. Clean and Clear makes great oil blotting sheets in a small easy to carry packet. I find that a proper facial cleansing regiment along with a powder is the best way to go. Cleaning with an oil control face wash may also eliminate the need for powders. The more you use it the better your skin will look. Whatever you choose make sure that they are dermatologist tested to be non-comedigenic(wont clog pores and cause breakouts.

You can skip the liquid foundation (which usually contains a lot of oil) and opt for the MAC Studio Fix. That is like a foundation and powder all in 1, and comes in a round compact container like regular powder compact. It's look is flat and powder like, instead of the "dewy" look. The "dewy" look is really gross! Always go flat and matte!

Physicians Formula at drug and grocery stores is real good.
They now have a Mineral formula in a compact. Translucent works for most people. They have several to choose from. It is faster than using liquid base. I get good coverage.

Try covergirl, and don't apply too much. Don't use too much foundation too, just try a liquid moisturizer and put the powder on that after you let it soak in.

Use blotting papers, your face is making too much oil because of the weather changes, moisturize after cleaning, use toner, and keep those papers in your purse. :)
