No it isn't.

A gerund is formed of a verb + ing but not all verb + ing forms are gerunds!

A gerund is used as a noun, for example: "SMOKING is bad for your health" In this sentence "smoking" is the subject and is a gerund, "is" is the verb.

In your sentence, "had been feeding" is all the verb: past perfect continuous tense is comprised of HAD + BEEN + VERB + ING.

I hope this helps.

"feeding her subconscious" is a gerund. "feeding" is the verb, "her subconscious" is the adverb. The whole clause acts as the noun in the sentence. The verb's gerund is formed by the
-ing ending.
P.S. forget this post, fidget is right, my bad. I haven't thought of gerunds for 30 years.

This is not even grammatically correct before you start worrying about gerunds.
