anything can happen. sperm can remain viable for a certain amount of time and if your cycle is off and you ovulate shortly after your period--well, anything can happen.
it's not what is generally true but the unusual that you have to expect. sooo, don't use your period as birth control.

It's unlikely to happen because the period is the uterine lining and unfertilized egg passing. Ovulation occurs usually between days 12-17, those are the days you are most likely to become pregnant. While I wouldn't rely on sex on your period (which isn't gross to some btw, and quite frankly, passing judgment on anybody's actions is rude) as a means of birth control, or contraception. I'm going to be the lone ranger who says it's possible but very, very unlikely.

Absolutely, yes u can!!! Thats when you are the most fertile, before, during and after menstrual cycle, believe me, i am now onto my third child with 11wks to go.

you sure can.
take my god mother for example...
she and hubby had been trying just about every method and time when ttc and had no luck.
they then thought why not give it a go during her monthly... it was the ONLY time they hadn't tried!
and bang... preggo.
so yes, you can.
