We are always pushing for the best, and that is okay but, why the idolotry with everything? What is the importance to us individually?
We make movie stars idols, like Gods, music favorites, like Gods, places we go we have to make them into a special thing all the time. There really isnt anything special about anyone who strives so hard to prove to others that they are better. They are boring and arogant as well, but what is it that compels people to follow these idoloters into oblivion? Wasting their time, and money?

Intelligent question. Because that is our innate nature to Idolize someone. We are supposed to be Idolizing the Supreme God or the Creator also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, Rama) This is what we do in the spiritual world. But God is the Most beautiful, Most Famous, The Richest, The Strongest, The wisest(all Knowing) The most Renounced. So no one can exceed Him in anything. So why should we Idolize someone who only has some of these qualities in minute quantity. And any good quality anyone has is only a gift coming from God anyway. So if one doesn't worship and glorify G.O.D. then they will worship and glorify D.O.G. or someone lesser than God. Write me for a web site on Universal truths.
