I was looking for the 1980 movie "flash gordon" and was surprised to find that it was out of print and relatively expensive to buy on ebay. I was curious what is the most difficult to find out of print dvd, and how much people are paying for it.

Salo: 120 Days of Sodom. People have paid 500 and up on ebay in the pursuit of a legit copy.

Begotten was going for around $350 (new) on Amazon and Half, over 6 months ago but the price goes up and down. I think it's a lot less now though. Some Alejandro Jodorowsky DVDs can be very expensive.

I don't know about the most expensive but a hard to find one is The friends of Eddie Coyle. I finally got it on Ebay but it was a copy not an original.

As far as difficulty goes, I can honestly say from experience that it would be a tie between "The Beatles-Help" and "Mystery Science Theatre 3000-The Movie".
