Adding the Octane booster is a waste of money for your little Jeep. The engine is computer driven, and it senses if there is "ping" or not. If there is, the PCM compensates for it until it goes away.
Adding Octane booster does NOTHING for the power factor.
Octane is factor in reducing ping, and that alone. There is no more power stored in higher octane fuel than there is in the lower octane fuels.
In the OLDEN days, we used to jack up the timing and use the higher octane fuel for the added spunk we could get with the timing advanced.
But with today's cars, the timing is adjusted by the PCM, and using higher octane fuel when it is not called for is a profound waste of money.

Good Luck

Octane boosters are a rip-off! they don't do jack! occasion: Joe's booster says it will improve your octane 8 factors. so which you positioned reg 87 on your tank then upload a can of Joe's. you assume to have ninety 5 octane now good? incorrect! What you have is 87.8!!! Now what you need to use (in case you will discover it) is a ten% blend of gas and Toluene. i've got on no account tried it using fact they don't sell it right here in shops anymore do to the undeniable fact that addicts make meth with it. :(

A fuel's octane rating is its resistance to knocking, or "pinging". It's that rattling noise your engine makes when you are pulling a hill in high gear when you should be in a lower gear. The only reason you need higher octane fuel is if you have a problem with pinging. If you don't have a problem with pinging, and you insist on spending the money on octane boosters, it would be better, for me at least, if you send the money to me instead. You will get the same effect. None. I'll send you my address if you want.

the octane boost is for high preformance cars. it makes em run harder. your older engine is worn and may not hold up. if your want to kept suv tuned u try lucas fuel treat ment once a month
5.5 oz to 20 gallons.
