I bought an HP Ipaq rx1950 just recently. After installing Activesync from the CD included in the package, i tried to establish a connection between my PC and PDA using USB cable (also included in the package), but my PC keeps on flashing that there is no connection. Why is this so? I checked the windows firewall and activesync is already included in the exception.

Could there be something wrong with my PDA? or my PC?

I tried opening My Computer folder while PDA is connected and it sees the PDA as other, mobile device.

What should I do?

Uninstall and reinstall Active-sync on your computer. Make sure you have the latest version by Googling it. You can find the program almost anywhere and don't need the CD.

rx1950 is WM5 which supposedly is not 100% compatible with activesync 4.0. Yeah I know, why include it on the CD, right?

Download v.4.2 here : http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/activesync/activesync42.mspx
