Depends on where she lives.
She could....but should recieve counseling before she makes that decision. It could be jitters about becoming a mother.
I find it personally disturbing if a woman does it after the third month, because at the 5th month you're more than halfway done. In another 2 months the baby would be viable outside the womb. Food for thought.

i personally dont believe this should be done but im no one to judge everyone has there reasons.. If you are allowed to have an abortion at 5 months depends on where you live. Dilation and Evacuation (D&E): The fetus will get a injection to induce a heart attack to end it's life to prevent live birth. You will be sedated and the doctor will insert an instrument called a speculum into the vagina to hold the vaginal walls apart. Then he will gradually widening (dilating) the cervix. With different instruments he will remove the fetus and scrape the uterus. A machine will then suck out the contents of the uterus through a tube and ending pregnancy. This method is nearly 100% effective as the doctor will examine the removed uterine tissue to ensure that all of it was removed and the abortion is complete. Some doctors will also use an ultrasound during the procedure to confirm that all of the tissue has been removed and the pregnancy has ended

No it is too late. You cannot have an abortion after 22 weeks in any state or country The only option is to Keep or give up for adoption if you are past 22 weeks. I don't know why anyone would want to abort this far along. You can already feel the baby moving. Most women also form some sort of attachment once the feel it move, it would be emotionally devastating

It depends on which state you live in. Some states allow it, some don't.
Why would you choose to abort the child? Why not wait 4 more months until the child is born and put the child up for adoption to a family who can't have children? That way you can give the baby a chance at life, AND make a child-less couple happy.

It's probably not safe to do it and at this point, the fetus is now a real baby. That means it could probably survive if born now. The new laws say that you can drop off any baby at your local hospital to be put up for adoption, no questions asked. I'm not completely against abortion but what happens at 5 months of prganancy would truly be considered murder. Sorry.

look everyone giving u a hard time prob isn't going to help any.. something prob happened to you where u thought u wanted to keep it and then this far along something happened that effected your life where u thought you couldn't have a baby and if that's the case i am very sorry.. and I'm not going to judge you... yes it is to late to get an abortion but if you dont want to keep it because u just dont want to .. or things are bad .. things change.. let things clear up and then decide to keep the baby u have been carrying for 9 months.. and if things just cant , dont work out then give it up for adoption.. good luck..!

yes, but it is very expensive. The other thing is that if a lady would do such a thing, that would be murder. look up pictures of a 5 month old fetus, its totally formed. aborting a baby at 5 months is wrong. yes its possible but morally wrong in everyway

I want to say no, but that would be a lie. If you can make it this far, why not try to atleast give up the baby up at birth. Let the baby live a full life instead of killing it after 5 months in thew womb.
