The majority of people are polite but first you have to ask a question to receive an answer. If you receive a rude reply ignore it as the person is ignorant.

POLITE behavior, after all, lubricates our social relationships. It takes the edge off anger and aggressiveness. It shows respect for others. It reminds us that we are part of a community (the Latin root is civis, for citizen) with obligations to our fellow members. Good manners, we have heard since childhood, are necessary to get along with others. All true.
