God bless you. I hope you have a safe return. Anti-war protesters, as in the 60's were a disgrace to our nation. It was the worst decade in American history. It is the decade that changed everything. They were burning draft cards, bras, and anything else that represented the "establishment." Lot's lived in communes in filthy conditions, having group sex openly, sometimes in front of their children, and high on one drug or another. Woodstock was their crowning glory. Their offspring are today's liberals, as they were raised with the same beliefs. And look at the children of today's liberals, a generation of ill-mannered, misbehaved kids. The teachers today have a hell of a job. God help us, because these kids someday will make the decisions. You are a fine example of what a true American should be. Your parents should be very proud of you. They did a fine job raising you! 50--upper middle class-East coast

I'm 46, female, happyily married, and own a house in CT. Our income is comfortable. I'd call us middle class edging into upper. I am not an anti-war person, and I'm certainly not pro-war. I'm also not terribly fond of President Bush. But the war you are fighting is in my humble opinion a just one. When was the last time an act of terror was conducted by anyone but a radical Muslim sect? Their leaders have gone on record as saying that they are trying to bring about the end of this world. They are nuts and they need to be stopped before they hurt many more people, including their own. God bless you and God speed in your deployment to Afghanistan.

I will take pro-war as meaning as the belief of believing that war is a necessity in some situations. Then I am pro-war

I am neither anti-war or pro-war, but I do strongly support the idea that those who would seek to destroy America should be stopped. And if given a choice of fighting them on our streets or their streets, I choose their streets. I don't consider using our military to defend our country as being "pro-war".

There are too many shades of grey to categorize people like that.
Pro-war want to believe in the words of their chosen leaders no matter what . Anti-war examine those words more closely to determine the truth.

Then there's everybody else that fall into so many different categories that it's impossible to stereotype them. But one large group must work extra hard to support their families, so they're not paying enough attention.

For the most part, anti-war folks are smarter, better educated, and make more money. Religion is generally not a major part of their lives, and they spend more time with their kids. They are much less materialistic, and give more to charity.

I resent your use of the term "pro-war."

The fact is, the US is at war. Some of us think it needs to be won. I am pro US and pro troops. Kick butt!!

I am a single mother who put myself through college and law school waiting tables and taking out student loans. My income is none of your business. I am 39.
