With a service plan I think I paid $480 at BestBuy, maybe a little less.... The plan also covers accidental damages as well which for an extra $90 is worth it if you are not super careful with your stuff. I probably would have done well with the 30g as i don't watch movies on mine, or TV.... but its nice to have the storage!!! Check out BestBuy.com and look under iPod/Mp3 players....... Don't get a Zune (microsofts answer to iPod) unless you want to hear your friends say "Hey, my iPod's cooler than your Zune" Hope this helps and Happy Holidays!!!!
