If you really believe in "soul mates" then you are either incredibly dim or naive.

Probably not. Soul mates understand each other. They share the same values, enjoy much the same things. Growing up in same area gives history & understanding. There's a lot you would know about a person without even having to ask. And more than likely would share many of the same experiences even if not together.

I would like to say that most soul mates are around,but the problem is how to get know that they are! it is not a coincidence at all that they live at the same town or work in the same place. but after all, you must find some indication telling you that the person in front of you is the one. for example,chemistry,feeling shy around him/her when eyes meets,love to hear from him/her....etc

Yes - it is true that in many occasions - soul mates may just live near by. But, is it coincidence? How do you answer that?

Your question my friend is too big an idea to be answered in this kind of limited space. But, based on my own little experience. Yes, may be by coincidence, soul mates do live near by.

I read once a one liner "God hide things but keeping it near to us."

No. It makes sense that two people who are completely compatible are from the same culture and either chose to live in the same area or grew up in it.
