I tried it (I gave birth last week). It didn't do a thing for me. No pooping, no sickness, my baby girl came out perfectly healthy ( a week after taking the castor oil )... I wouldn't recommend it to any pregnant women. Not because of the "dangers" (which haven't been proven by the way). But.. just because it does NOT work. Unless the pregnant woman is seriously constipated... its a waste.

i have never heard it does harm the only harm it can do is make you have Mechonium(sp?) in the utero. It is ACTUALLY recommended for pregnant women as a laxitive.

people drink it when they were in real labor, it helps if youre already in labor, to hurry things along, if youre not in real labor then you just poop a lot!!!
