I just returned from the Niagara Falls and that would be one heck of a thrill ride.Talk about bungee jumping.I just asked basically the same question.

I guess we would have to be either crazy or offered a very large sum of money to do it.

If the water was a little warmer I would be quite tempted but I did not feel like spending the night in a Canadian Jail.

Oh Well I'm back home now in the comforts of my bathtub.
I guess that will have to do for now. Lol Lol

I did have an excellent time though. Awesome expereince I cant wait for my next opportunity.

Oh and No I dont think a child could survive just stuntmen and true adventures/daredevils. All others keep clear here I come.

If you have the water skies I can supply the boat! lol lol

It definitely is not safe. That water flows so fast that a child would never survive and even if he did survive the actually plunge, he would most likely end up hitting all the limestone debris at the base of the falls, killing him there.

Not too mention that as everyone has said it is against the law. The Niagara Falls is monitored by the Niagara Parks Police, who on an average summer pull about 20 bodies from that water.

There has been some daredevils that have lived to tell their story of going over in a barrel, but most are telling it from jail cells, they don't take the stunting lightly.

There was a gent about 3 years ago that tried to commit suicide, and went over and to his dismay never even ended up injured but had a nice bed at the pen, then ended up being famous for a couple weeks and decided to write a book.

About 10 years a couple from Florida I believe tried to go over, by using jet ski's and parachutes, but informed the media and were apprehended before they could make history.

Obviously there is the famous story about the 2 kids that were saved just as they were about to go over the brink close to the Canadian side, but unfortunately there father parished after he lost control of the boat.

Not something I would be trying to figure out, if I could survive.

Most likely not, unless he fell onto Maid of the Mist, a boat that goes through Niagra Falls.

There has been one instance that I am aware of that a person has survived a free fall over Niagara Falls. However, it isn't something that I would personally recommend.

never dare to do so. niagara is only good for sightseeing and may friends say it is more beautiful to be seen in canada side. never dare do jump into it. you better go to the Philippines and visit paradise diving sites like the tubataha reef and a lot more in the entire archipelago. visit wow philippines under the Department of Tourism for more details.

For you maybe. Not for me. If I survived the falls I'd quickly drown in the Niagara River because swimming, to me, is only a method for staying alive while immersed.

It would not be safe you could die or almost die. It's against the law too. So you could die and get a ticket.
