Very good Question, The Indian constitution was formed in the year 1947 i.e nereby 60years ago. The Laws made at that time were aplicable for that particular period or say for nearly for 25 years. As the period elopes there seems to be many changes in the conditions of a particular law. Many people find wrong ways to evade the laws, so to bring these people under control the law has to be changed and hence a n amendment is necessarry ( Law does not mean only criminal law) Actually acording to me India needs a new constitution pertaing to the present and future period, but some politician do not allow to change the constitution just for the sake of votes. Actually it is also that not every comon person know about the whole, each and every law in the constitution. For this the leaders are afraid that at present if the constitution is changed, each and every comon person will get to know very much about the constitution, due to the vast growing media and information links. And hence they would loose their votes which they earn only in the name of the constitution and its writer. It must be known that any constitution must be given great respect be it of the country or state, company or society. But till such leaders are there no change can be done hence there are amendments done to it.

Constitution was drafted for honest people . It does not suit the present day politicians so they amend it to by pass judiciary.

Is there really some one perfect? They all do the changes for maximising their own benefits.Especially to gain political advantages.They deserve some benefits in the rush rush rush of everyday life,it's easy for them to put us ( I mean citizens) last on the list.Does they keep you in touch to achieve your dreams.All you have to Listen!How many law makers in India respect the constitution.All are looking for their own benefits.
