Truth is not overrated. I know the bush admin ignores reality. and they try to sell denial as a alternative to truth and reality. But reality and truth will over take you eventually. Truth allows of a life built on a solid foundation. Denial is nothing more than a house of cards.

No. The truth can never be overrated, unless one decides to live in a pool of lies and prefer to wear many masks / faces in order to hide their inner truth.
Some people fear the truth because it doesn’t allow them to live with facades - leaving them to face the image that’s before them

Considering how many people out there are liars, the truth is powerful. The liars will always be suspicious of whether your truths are actually true...which is how you can tell they are liars. Those who are truthful will recognize you as someone to confide in. If you tell the truth and can recognize the truth, you can also learn to recognize the lies. Open yourself to the truth and you open yourself to the secrets of every person's soul. Open yourself to lies and you will be surrounded by filth until you die.
