with their freedom? Only the government can threaten your freedom. Is al qeda trying to abolish the Bill of Rights? Sure they can threaten your life, but how are they threatening your freedom? (except your freedom to live, that is)

And while we're at it, why do people think that we are fighting 'them' over there so that we won't have to fight 'them' over here? At least 90% of the people that we fight over there are insurgents (Iraqi rebels). Foreign fighters are a small minority of the opposing forces, and most of them only joined the fight BECAUSE we invaded Iraq. If it wasn't for the invasion, they'd still be herding goats in Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, etc. Now they are killing Americans and Iraqis. How does this mesh with the 'fighting them over there' theory.

Do supporters of the war realise the fallicy of their logic, or do they just not care? Did you fall for a political slogan, or did you really put some reasoned analysis into forming your opinion?

Kudos to you for realizing that the war in Iraq should have nothing to do with taking away our liberties here at home. The Bush administrations justifications for such legislation is nothing but an obfuscation of their real intentions. How 18 Saudi's armed with box cutters makes politicians think they can cut into our constitutional rights is beyond me.
When you look at the religions over there and how they all demonize the west and look to an apocalypse where there savior arises (out of a well or whatever) to reclaim the lost lands it has to make you somewhat concerned. However, bombing and killing and invading their lands is not going to help the situation, it's only sped up the process!!
It's all a racket to me--it's the only logical explanation. Start a war, hire your buddies, use weapons made by your buddies and contract them to make more, steal the oil, create a strong military presence to enable the looting of the oil, and then lie about it till your prosecuted in a court of law where you hand picked the Judges. It's a beautiful thing!!
This sitting around waiting for the Dems to take office and prosecute these bastards is driving me nuts!!

IMO particular, new bombs have been given examined out. New helicopters, jets, all sorts of destruction toys. The Sadaam element became in basic terms a smoke demonstrate screen excuse to flow into the rustic en masse militarily. Now that we are there, we are gonna use the militia to take the oilfields in the area for ourselves. became there "ever" the different reason? Why Iraq. they have no weapon of mass destruction(eg. nuke) for this reason. this is considered as risk-free with minimum resistance combatwise. Terrorists by no ability lived there. That became purely yet another smoke demonstrate screen. For "real terrorists" are no longer a million important physique that have in basic terms a million strike purpose. Terrorists have plans for many goals if there rather became an attack, it would additionally entail, delivery, trains, street, bridges, tunnels, subways, electric, water structures, procuring department shops....to call some. have you ever found out no longer something from the IRA? Or T.V.? Terrorists additionally "declare" on the deeds that "they have accomplished". (Spray paint slogans, in the newspaper, regardless of). no person did on the WTC . in basic terms the US government mentioned who did it. would not that make you ask your self how the government knew who the terrorists have been,. "till now the terrorists knew they have been terrorists"? protection has been tightened up that plenty in the US. that may not so. otherwise, you will possibly prefer checkpoint documentation to flow everywhere(even to the food market). That ain't occurring, is it? "this is the government talking in an election year." Terrorists are on the run. no longer likely in view that they don't have a house. they're in Hawaii. The accomplishment? have have been given the taxpaying public onside for super will strengthen in militia spending and the militia has considered an inflow of volunteers prepared to connect and serve. No volume of slick advertizing could have accomplished that. regrettably, they do no longer permit you recognize the full tale. might 3000 infantrymen be prepared to resign their lives (and double that with crippling injuries)for oil? i do no longer think that many might have joined had they time-honored that's what they're combating for.

Wow dude, you really offended some people with your question. How dare you question your government's motives? How dare you disagree? How dare you go against what FOX News shoves down their throats every single day? The fact that you're saying these things shows how "unamerican" you are. You know what? I'm glad to see your question and I agree with you. Everything's that's happened in the last 6 years has been so messed up it's overwhelming to think about it. Obviously prowar supporters do not realize the fallacy of their logic. They fell for everything hook, line, and sinker. I hope we can sort our way through this mess. Thanks for being a true patriot, it's good to know you're out there.

Um, just in case you are wondering, if the US is brought down, say good bye to the bill or rights, and who wants to bring the US down? The terrorists

How do you know the second paragraph is true, now, I am not disputing it, but how does any of us know that is true?

The answer is, we don't know that well,

But one more question, why was Al-Zarkawi killed in Iraq?

Where the hell in our bill of rights does it say, "You will convert to Islam - or you will die."?

Don't try to "logic" your way into convincing me that AlQeda's demands and threats aren't a direct assault on every civilized nations' rights.
