In my answer I used the words ****, kike, kraut, chink, and cracker, but they were not bleeped out, but ngr, was. What is your opinion as to the other offensive racist terminology- serious answers only.

Some words garner more rage than others and are treated as such. Polock's laugh when they hear the slur. Did you ever hear the term herring choker? That's a scandnavian. Seems silly. The N word provoke recent memories of oppression and hatred, so it is not so easily used in the USA these days.

I recall the scene in the Jackie Chan/Chris ROck movie where CHris talks to a "brother" with the common slang saying, "How's it hanging N____!". Jackie, trying to be cool, says "Hey N___, can I have a drink?" It is hilarious how we use the context. I bet if Michael Richards smiled when he went off, he would have been accused of being no worse than Jackie Chan or Richard Pryor.

Hundreds of years of oppression, thats why. If that wasn't the case, it wouldn't be bleeped.

Why is it that so many white people act like they are a victim because they can't say the N word? Not all black people say it. i don't, and I don't condone anyone else saying it. I don't under stand why it is such a debate. Common sense would tell you why saying that word is frowned upon. But, a lot of white people like to use the fact that some blacks say it as an excuse for them to say it also. With all the history and weight that the word still carries, why would anyone want to say it?

As far as yahoo's censorship... as far as I'm concerned... they could really do a much better job at it. But, it would be ridiculous for them to censor out "cracker" if you're talking about a saltine.
And I seriously doubt that yahoo is paying anyone to sit and check each and every question on here to make sure its PC. The fact of the matter is that racial slurs are NEVER okay. No matter what direction its coming from. And you can't use the ignorance of others to justify your own actions or desires.

Michael Richards could have picked any word in the dictionary to describe the people disrupting his show. But, the N word rolled off his tongue a little bit too easily. And being that he is a celebrity, he should know to watch his actions. EVERYONE knows the word is frowned upon. But, he chose to say it anyway, many times.

You would probably receive more serious answers if your question wasn't such a lame joke. None of those words carry the hatred and violence that is attached with the N word. They are all racist words that should be bleeped out by yahoo, but the N word is certainly more hurtful because of the history that is behind it.

If Yahoo wants this to be a serious conversation area, then all words should be seen. If used in a way to put a group down, then block it, but when used to compare it with other terms, it should appear.

the mechanical mind of yahoo has only been filled with info to stop some words and not others. i dont think there is a point in blanking anything out, but the little machine feels safe being god of some bad words.

the other ones should be considered just as bad and not be used, but i think all races should stop using derogatory race slang toward each other, within the race, because that creates tension itself, its hypocritical.it just separates them further from other races simply because of a slang, exclusively to one race.
