Relax. Most water soluble vitamins cannot be overdosed. (like vit C, the excess is peed out). The two vitamins that can cause problems are B6, (pyridoxin), and vitamin A. Both are very toxic but you have to take massive doses of either to cause problems. High doses of vit B3 (niacin), can caude flushing and nausea.
Doc. Dan.
The human body cannot synthesize vitamin C. We and guinea pigs are the only 2 animals that have that problem.
Vitamin K can only be made from vitamin E (alpha tocopherol), by bacteria in our gut. We cannot synthesize it by ourselves. Not much vit. K is required by humans.

The best way to get vitamins is to get them from natural sources, meaning from food (and in the case of vitamin D, from a few minutes of sun exposure per day). If you eat a healthy balanced diet, you shouldn't have any need for a multi-vitamin unless you have a deficiency identified by your doc or if you're pregnant and need a prenatal vitamin. The human body doesn't need huge amounts of any vitamin, which is why a normal healthy diet usually provides enough. Too often, people spend a lot of money on multi-vitamins just to have most of it flushed down the toilet. Your body can only use so much of the B & C vitamins, and if there's too much, the excess goes out of the body in urine (it makes urine really bright almost neon yellow). Vitamins A, D, E, and K accumulate in the body-- they're not flushed out, but are stored in the liver and body fat. If you consume too much of them, it can be toxic to your body.

I don't see a problem with that. The whole purpose of a multi-vitamin is to give you the vitamins you're not consuming throughout the day, so what if you did get them all naturally? Would you not be able to use airborne then? I'm sure it will be fine. That is kind of sketchy though with the pharmacists, "I think you'll be okay!"

Hehe, take care! Happy Holidays.

I have no idea what the term "airborne" is but I can answer the rest of your question. You certainly can take a multiple vitamin with Orange juice. Check your label on the multiple vitamin and see what it says in terms of meeting daily requirements. Most multiple vitamins will tell you. Even if the multiple vitamin say it equals a 100% of your daily requirement for vitamin C you can still have orange juice for breakfast. If your metabolism identifies too much vitamin C in your system it will just filter it out through the kidneys and you will eliminate it in your urine.

You can take multi -vitamin with Airborne as Airborne is much of nothing. It was designed by a school teacher not a chemist/pharmacist or even a Dr.........you can drink OJ as well with while taking multi- vitamin. Don't worry you will be fine. Just don't start taking all kinds of vitamins seperate. That's where you can run into problems. Just pactice a well balanced diet....have a good one...be well... ;)

Here is my situation.
I took a multivitamin every day.
And vitamin c, and vitamin d.
I also ate a salad every day.
And I exercised every day.

My blood overdosed on vitamin K. And became thick. I developed a clot in my right leg. I am out of work for 8 weeks now. I can never eat a salad, or lettuce on anything, or even green beans or broccoli, ever again! And no more multivitamins.

Why? Because when you exercise, your body makes all the vitamins you need.

I did not know that. But I do NOW!!
