If you mean romantic misery, your answer is Damien Rice. Get "O" (blowers daughter and cheers darlin)and "9" (elephant and accidental babies) and enjoy - or rather, sink melodically into dark despair.

Don't get me wrong, the music is good, but it is also great to wallow to.Have a nice sulk, and then begin again tomorrow, having purged all your ills.

Or you can be classically depressed and listen to the Smiths.

To cheer myself up: i'm going to stay with the solar(Beatles) or something with a catchy refrain and robust lyrics. To wallow in my misery:any music handling dying, breakups or merely straightforward ol' unhappy songs. One final cry by Brian McKnight is a sturdy unhappy music.

How Can You Mend A Broken Heart
Lines On My Face
Christmas Shoes
Concrete Angel
The Little Girl

If those don't set the tears in motion, nothing will.

Here's a good one...see if you can hear it sung on the internet. That should help you tunnel through your depression....and then see the light at the other end ;=))

Artist/Band: Classic Country
Lyrics for Song: I'm Sorry - Brenda Lee
Lyrics for Album: Classic Country: 1950-1964
I'm sorry, so sorry
That I was such a fool
I didn't know
Love could be so cruel
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Uh-oh
Oh, yes

You tell me mistakes
Are part of being young
But that don't right
The wrong that's been done

[Spoken:]
(I'm sorry) I'm sorry
(So sorry) So sorry
Please accept my apology
But love is blind
And I was to blind to see
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Uh-oh
Oh, yes

You tell me mistakes
Are part of being young
But that don't right
The wrong that's been done
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Uh-oh
Oh, yes

I'm sorry, so sorry
Please accept my apology
But love was blind
And I was too blind to see
(Sorry)
