Blood in the semen is not a sign of prostate cancer. You need to get this checked though to find out what is causing it.

How did you determine the blood in the semen. If it is a clinical diagnosis by a pathologist, then I would suggest a rectal exam as well as palpation of the testes for masses. It is not diagnostic for prostatic cancer but suggests lesions somewhere...from the testes to the vas deferens to seminal vesicles to the urethera or even the corona of the penis. An endoscopic examination may be needed to determine the site of the bleeder but if the physical exam is negative, then the physician would likely dismiss the case as being benign.
