Which of the following topics would you choose to do a 5-7 page paper on and why. I need to pick one but cannot decide on the topic. As you can see from the ideas I must make an assumption about the impact on American culture.
1.Evolution of children's television programming and its cultural impact
2. The cultural impact of challenged books
3. Change in the "American Way of Life" as depicted in magazines
4. Compare and contrast English textbooks from the 1900's and today and their cultural impact

I would definitely choose the first one. Simply put, TV has had a huge impact on American Culture for adults and children. Childrens programing has run the gamut from Howdy Doody to Sesame Street and back to Sponge Bob. You could compare the assumtions about childrens interests and needs made by public broadcasting as opposed to mainstream broadcasting. Look at Disney, Looneytoons, Anime, The SImpsons, South Park etc.

ok, 4 is the hardest cos it involves quite a bit of research, 1 is the easiest, so everyone will be doing that, 2 is cool, cos its about how the norms of society and culture have affected censorship and challenging laws and views on books, 3 is also interesting cos u can talk about heaps of sh*t like materialism, fashion and pop culture and its impact on society, like man. straight up, 3 is pretty easy too. its either between 2 or 3. ide do 3

It depends, if you have to cite references I would go with 2-4 because you could heavily research these on the net. If it is a paper that is mainly an opinion paper, I would go with number 1, because you could draw from your own experiences and you would not need to research a lot if you did not want to.

You need to choose the one that interests you the most. I would also choose a topic that is easy to research. #4 looks good to me. You should be able to locate old textbooks.

Neat! I would definitely have to go with #1 because that is an exciting topic... you can cover a lot of ground with that one and really magnify the differences between now and then!

i think u should choose 2 as no2 is a wider topic in which u can build various ideas and research in libraries, do interviews and make use of your culture by making very salient points on the culture.

that's the kind of project i wouldnt do and thats why i was bad in school and didnt go to college and ended up in iraq but yeah... i'd go with the first one seems like the only one that wouldnt put me straight to sleep. lol. good luck.

i'd probably go with 1 because it provides lots of examples on the internet. just look for good reasources.
