If you had to choose one crappy household chore, thats a real hassle, you could get a maid to do, what would it be? For me it would be to wipe down and clean all the kitchen cupboards and appliances. Or clean out the closets!

I had two kids and a full time job. My maid mopped floors all through the house, vacuumed, cleaned bathrooms, made beds, washed clothes, dusted, picked up the kids room. I never asked her to do dishes, but she did. I loved her.

Dishes, or cleaning the refrigerator.
My husband will help me clean the house, but he will ALWAYS pile the dishes up, thinking that since he took care of picking up toys, I won't mind doing his least favorite chore everytime: dishes. I hate 'em, too!!!!!

back home, we do have maids. they clean the house, they wash and iron clothes, they help cook food and wash dishes...they also keep my mom company since she is sickly...
but here in states, we are on our own...we do everything from cleaning to cooking, washing and ironing... pretty tough living...but we can manage though...
