There certainly is a minimum mass for stars. I can't tell you exactly what it is, but our sun swallowed up too much of the matter in the area for another star to form. If there isn't enough mass, then gravity can't compress the matter enough to cause nuclear fusion. Instead, it remains cold and forms a planet. The answer is 'e'.

About twenty times more mass. also, some Hydrogen would have helped too, when you consider that hydrogen is the primary component of the sun. in about 5 billion years when it turns from hydrogen to helium, the sun will expand and grow outwards to Saturn, if my years in astronomy serve me correctly and it will form a Red Giant and burn on the Helium since it will have no more hydrogen.

a) stars are not classified by the spin
b) funny, lol
c) chemical composition would be correct, stars are based on certain compounds that combust (fuse) in such a way that they emit light, which is what classifies a star
d) Fusion reactions are what occur in the sun, not fission
e) mass is not the only defining feature of stars, and there is no "set minimum mass" to be classified as a star

You pretty much answered the question yourself. I'd leave out b and c. Everything is made of about the same stuff.
