How much of a social life should you have? Should you be sad because your friends have "scattered"? Is it realy time to stop blaming your parents for the way you are, even if it really is their fault? It seems that every other decade of your life is well defined, but where do you fit in once you reach your 30's? Do you have to trade in "Jane" magazine, for "Fitness" or "Home and Gardening". And furthermore, what if you have yet to reach your goals? Or worse even, what if you have yet to decide what your goals are? What do you think?

On the night before my 30th birthday, I asked myself many of the same questions. What have I done with my life? Why haven't I accomplished everything I had hoped to at 30? Why am I not married yet? Etc., etc.

Here's the truth about 30 -- it's a great time to re-evaluate your life and make changes where they need to be made. My friends also scattered and moved away, married and had kids and left me behind. I had to make new friends and find my niche.

If you have a good church group, you will find others like you. Trust me.

I am now 43, and I can look back at 30 and smile. I am married now and have a child -- and I also have some great memories of my 30s.

Take lots of pictures of yourself now -- you will be glad to have them when you're my age!

GOOD LUCK!

I think just enjoy your youth, it's still a young age, after 40 or so you will start feeling different. Reaching or setting goals are all variable anyway, even the best planners often have unexpected setbacks or surprises. The only thing that's certain is that we'll all get older and older, unless we die first.

Do what makes you happy.

Sorry I can't be more detailed, I was 30 a long time ago and have forgotton such details. Probably I ignored the numbers and just did what I wanted with my life, like I do now.

First of except the existential truth. Life is meaningless, but that's OK. I paniced at my 29th birthday thinking "oh my God I'm going to be thirty" Thirty passed without out a thought. My final analysis is at thirty you can no longer fool yourself that your still a kid.

What does it mean to be 30? About twice as much as it means to be 15.
