No, the best way to detangle Christmas lights is to find a mouse, and tie the end of the lights to his tail. Then dangle some fine cheese in front of him in just the right places so he runs in and out all between the cords until he has all the
knots and kinks undone. Voila! your lights are ready to install.
Maybe you should call in a professional electrician to do this tricky job.

Sorry, if I knew of such a product, I would be on QVC selling it! and I would be way to rich to be talking to you all here! LOL.
But for next year, to avoid having to buy new lights, or buy a caddy, just wrap the lights around the box they came in. Some of the boxes have a plastic frame that the lights came on, but often it is a trial to get the lights back into it, and I tangled them up trying to do that one year. For those, I leave the frame in the box as reinforcement to make the box sturdy, and still wrap the lights around the box. And tuck in the plug in the same place on the box with each set.
Next year, take the tucked in plug away from the box, plug it in to test the lights, and if they are defective, throw the lights and box away, no messy lights to wad up and take up space in your garbage can.
I had 1500 lights on the tree last year, that's 15 strands for the math impaired among us. No tangled cords, and the burnout occurred after I put the lights up on the tree, after it was decorated.
Now if I could just remember to put the plug that goes to the wall socket at the beginning of the lights, instead of having to take them all off and start again, or patch them up with extension cords, life would be good. LOL. Maybe I should mark the plugs, so I won't forget. I'll get right on that. Ha!
Merry Christmas to all, and to all some untangled lights!

Holiday lights are really cheap now, so treat your self to some nice shiny new ones and put the tangled one out of it's misery.. Next year put them nicely into zip lock bags 1 set per bag that's what I do every year and all my lights are tagged so I know where they go. HAPPY DECORATING

No, but there are these little gadgets you can buy to wrap them around so they won't be tangled next year. Take a trip to the Dollar Store. It saves your sanity.

Yes... lather up twice with the acid, then burn with fire to dry. Some bulbs may crack.
